take home final= insanely long final

The take home final Chip has given us for Population Ecology is insane. It has 10 problems and today I spent 5 hours working on one of them and I didn't even finish. I think this final will end up taking everyone at least 30-40 hours to complete. On top of this, I still have to finish 5 different homeworks which will take at least 1-2 hours each. Oh, did I mention I have this grant due on Friday when I have to part with my laptop and prepare for a party which I not-so-wisely decided to have on Friday? AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! There's no way I'm going to get everything done for Pop Ecol by Friday like I'd hoped.

Ouch, that does sound pretty intense. Is he really going to have all those finals read and graded by the time grades are due in? How many nights did you have to do the test?

Good luck, hang in there, remember that the semester will indeed end, sooner or later!

I should have mentioned that we do get to work together. It would be nearly impossible for me to do this without the help of my peers, especially since we are expected to correct mistakes until we really get it right. Technically we can take an incomplete if we are still working on it past the date that grades are due. We have about 2 weeks from when we got it until grades are due.

t.a.man: we are finding equations for ZNGIs and depletion trajectories, modeling 2, 4, and 8 point limit cycles in Excel (and chaos), solving for interaction coefficients, and calculating eigenvalues, among other things. I know you wish you were here.
